Source-1 started in 1976 importing billiards equipment and general sporting goods from Taiwan. Company “headquarters” was the family living room and the warehouse was the garage. Things got better (thankfully) as we built up our client base and product line. Our little home operation developed into a full-fledged, diversified company.

To better serve clients in America, we expanded our distribution systems with a fully integrated warehouse and shipping facility. Over in Asia, we continued to build on our network of factories to accommodate our ever-growing product line, which now included industries such as fitness, golf, game tables and sports novelty. We also kept our focus on creating and developing new products, trying to keep a fresh view in a world full of copycats and cheap knock-offs.

Our success gave us a two-fold reputation. We became known for creating and improving dozens of products, including our “Minnesota Fats” Mini Pool Table, Golf ‘n Sport Putting Cup, and Speed Shot Table Hockey.

We also became known for our ability to develop and maintain our ever-expanding group of dedicated factories. We would only do business with suppliers that could meet our high standards for quality and integrity.

In 1997 we decided to streamline our operations and focus our energies on our core strengths- product innovation and product sourcing in China and Taiwan. By sharpening our focus, we filled a niche that few companies could handle with any success or consistency.

Today, we continue to create and maintain that vital link between our clients in the U.S. and our vendors in the Far East. And in the complex, always- changing environment of today’s worldwide economy, it is this link that separates the predator from the prey.
